John joined Sterling in 1992. He is responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions and the oversight of portfolio companies. John currently serves on the boards of Velcon Filters, BTEC Turbines and North American Energy Partners and was previously on the board of Exopack. In addition, he participates in the structuring and financing of many of the Sterling portfolio companies.
John was previously on the professional staff of Arthur Andersen & Co. John received a B.S.B.A. in accounting from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A. with honors from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
