John joined Sterling in 1992. Previously, he was on the professional staff of Arthur Andersen & Co., focusing on the general manufacturing, real estate, and health care industries.

John currently serves on the boards of BTEC Turbines and North American Energy Partners. John received his B.S.B.A. in accounting from the University of Tennessee and his M.B.A. with honors from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
