Hunter Nelson, Partner

Hunter joined Sterling in 1989 following the sale of Fiber Industries, where he had served as Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. Previously he was a partner in the law firm of Andrews & Kurth LLP, which he joined in 1979. At Andrews & Kurth, Hunter specialized in mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance, and general corporate law.

He currently serves as a director of Propex, Panolam and Roofing Supply Group and served on the boards of Sterling Diagnostic Imaging and Sterling Chemicals. Hunter received his B.B.A. in accounting and J.D. with honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
